Home / Cookie and Session Storage Policy
Effective November 4, 2026

Only a notice preference is remembered.

The guide does not save your checklist marks or create a personal account. It uses session storage to remember that you dismissed the site notice.

Cookies and session storage

A cookie can be sent with requests to a website. Session storage is a browser value that scripts on the same origin can use during a browsing session. This guide uses the latter for a notice preference; it does not set application advertising or analytics cookies.

The preference contains no beneficiary record, editorial note or checklist answers. Dismissing the notice does not activate tracking or connect an account.

Checklist marks are different

The five review marks belong only to the open page. They reset when you leave, return or reload. No marks are written to browser session storage or a server. A filtered term selection also stays within the page.

If you need a copy, use the explicit print controls. A printed or saved file is separate from browser storage and must be managed separately.

Managing the preference

Use your browser’s site-data controls to clear the notice preference, or end the browsing session. Behavior can vary with browser settings. If session storage is blocked, the guide still opens and the notice can be dismissed for the current page.

Hosting infrastructure can have its own operational behavior beyond the application code. The Privacy Policy explains hosting requests, external source links and editorial email drafts. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
